The information received is based on the direct interaction between yourself and the companies registered on the AFROBIZFIND platform.

Registration information

When you download AFROBIZFIND  App and search and interact with companies registered on the AFROBIZFIND platform  for the first time, we ask you to register and provide us with personal information as follows;

Your name, email address, mobile number, address and postcode.

We use this information to better personalise our service for you. We will never rent, sell or share your personal information with any other company under any circumstances. You have to choose to ‘BECOME A CUSTOMER’ to a company of your choosing for the third party company to receive your email and mobile number only. At any time, you can cancel ‘BECOME A CUSTOMER’ and your email and mobile number will be removed from the company’s record

Information you provide on our partners' websites

You may find links to third party websites on our App. These hyperlinks are provided for your reference and convenience only and do not imply any endorsement of the activities of such third-party websites or any association with their operators. This Privacy Policy only applies to the personal information that we collect or which we receive from third party sources, and we cannot be responsible for personal information about you that is collected and stored by third parties. These websites should have their own privacy policies which you should check. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.

Information we get when you use our service

Your redemption information

When you use AFROBIZFIND platform we will collect information about how you use our site and application. For example, we collect data on the companies that you have liked to show other users the popularity of companies.

Your location information

When you use our application we may receive your location or ask to use it. We’ll use this information to show you the companies, product and offers which are near you. If you’re using our application, depending on your handset or the network you subscribe to, AFROBIZFIND may automatically receive this information.

Your mobile phone information

When you use the AFROBIZFIND application for the first time, we will receive a unique identifier for your phone if your handset manufacturer or network provide it. By downloading the AFROBIZFIND app you are consenting that we may use this information to send you push notifications about our companies. We will not pass these details to third parties.

The main ways we use your information is to let you know about the companies nearest to your postcode in searches on the App and push notifications.

These will be general notifications about our latest companies, products and offers. Both types of notification can be controlled in the settings section of the app.

When you send email or other communication to AFROBIZFIND, we may retain the communication in order to serve you.

To personalise the content you receive

By collecting data on your activities on our website and application we’ll be able to better understand the types of companies, products, offer that you’re interested. We’ll then present the most relevant companies, products, offer for you on our application and through the communications we send you.

To provide a better experience

We use your data for the improvement and maintenance of our App and to provide technical support for our App. We also use your data to evaluate your visit to the App and prepare reports or compile statistics to understand the type of people who use our App, how they use our App and to make our App more intuitive. Such details will be anonymised as far as reasonably possible and you will not be identifiable from the information collected.

To provide insight

Our use of technologies, including Google Analytics enables us to gather statistical information about how people use our App. As well as using this to improve what we do, we also share it with the brands we work with to give them feedback. The information we share will not identify you personally, it is statistical data and does not identify any personal details whatsoever.
